How It Works
Qualification Info
The NVQ Level 2 in Boarding / Tacking (Interior Systems) qualification is for boarders/tackers that have a good working knowledge of their trade.
To get this NVQ you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Fix plasterboard to timber or metal frames
- Dot and Dab walls
- Forming openings and making repairs
The next steps for you could be to move on to a Dry Lining Fixing (Interior Systems) NVQ Level 3 and or the Work Supervisor NVQ Level 3 if you have the right experience. These will get you either an Advanced Craft GOLD CSCS Card.
If this doesn’t sound like the right course for you, you may want to look at the Dry Lining Fixing (Interior Systems) NVQ Level 2. This will get you a Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN GETTING YOUR NVQ
You have to provide site evidence of you carrying out your job safely and you have to complete the knowledge requirements which will involve some informal questions – This is similar to talking about your work with one of your workmates.
