The NVQ Level 2 in Dry Lining Fixing (Interior Systems) qualification is for fixers that have a good working knowledge of their trade.

To get this NVQ you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Follow specifications and drawings to set out the stud walls
• Build and repair metal stud partition walls including door and window openings
• Build encasements

The next steps for you could be to move on to a Dry Lining Fixing (Interior Systems) NVQ Level 3 or the Work Supervisor NVQ Level 3 if you have the right experience, these will get you an  Advanced Craft GOLD CSCS Card.

If this doesn’t sound like the right course for you, you may want to look at the Interior Systems Boarding /Tacking NVQ Level 2 or the Ceiling Fixing (Interior Systems) NVQ Level 2.

Both of which will get you a Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card.

On average 4-6 weeks depending on your availability. If needed we can help you get qualified faster to get you back working on site at no extra cost.

You have to provide site evidence of you carrying out your job safely and you have to complete the knowledge requirements which will involve some informal questions – This is similar to talking about your work with one of your workmates.

We can ask you questions face to face, over the phone or help you with written questions if you prefer.
