The NVQ Level 2 in Fibrous Plastering is for Fibrous plasterers that have a good working knowledge of their trade.

To get this NVQ you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Follow safe working practice.
• Fix fibrous plastering on site.
• Repair and make good fibrous plastering.
• Produce fibrous plaster work (if you work in a fibrous workshop)

The next steps for you could be to move on to a Plastering NVQ Level 3 and, Heritage Plastering NVQ Level 3 and or the Occupational Work Supervisor NVQ Level 3 if you have the right experience – these NVQs will get you an Advanced Craft GOLD CSCS Card.

If this doesn’t sound like the right course for you – you may want to look at the Taping and Jointing (Interior Systems Finisher) NVQ Level 2 or if you have more experience, the Plastering Full Route Level 2. Both of which will get you a Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card.

TIMESCALES TO COMPLETING NVQ
On average 4-6 weeks depending on your availability. If needed we can help you get qualified faster to get you back working on site at no extra cost.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN GETTING YOUR NVQ
You have to provide site evidence of you carrying out your job safely and you have to complete the knowledge requirements which will involve some informal questions – This is similar to talking about your work with one of your workmates.

We can ask you questions face to face, over the phone or help you with written questions if you prefer.

REMEMBER – This isn’t a test. Everyone does the job differently so we relate the questions to your experience to make it easier for you.
