The NVQ Level 2 in Taping and Jointing  (Dry Lining Finishing Interior Systems) qualification is for Tapers and Jointers that have a good working knowledge of their trade.

To get this NVQ you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Finish/make good walls and ceilings
• Work with hand or mechanical tools — such as flat box, internal corner flusher, angle/corner box and compound tube (bazooka)

The next steps for you could be to move on to a Plastering NVQ Level 3 and or the Work Supervisor NVQ Level 3 if you have the right experience. These will get you either an Advanced Craft GOLD CSCS Card.

If this doesn’t sound like the right course for you, you may want to look at the Plastering Skimming NVQ Level 2. This will get you a Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card.

You have to provide site evidence of you carrying out your job safely and you have to complete the knowledge requirements which will involve some informal questions – This is similar to talking about your work with one of your workmates.
